Our name

In Irish mythology Muirenn, or Muirgen, was a beautiful long-haired maiden who fell into the waves and was transformed into a salmon, in this carving we see her represented as a mermaid.

In  Gaelic the name Muirenn means "born of the sea".

Our business



We supply the finest quality salmon, sea-trout and mackerel - fished from the wild, clear waters of the Atlantic and smoked to our special recipe on the western tip of the famous Ring of Kerry, where the rugged mountains meet the ocean.

We have established an enviable reputation in London, where for several years we have been supplying leading restaurants, cafes and delicatessens, as well as selling directly to the public at Borough Market.
